1999 Boxster

I have recently purchased this 99 Boxster and have fully bonded. I would like to know more about the Aero Kit installed i.e. was this a factory option or aftermarket?

The kit on that car was the Aero Kit I. It was a factory option.

That is the factory aero kit 1, on my 2000 Boxster S it was a $6,225 option. I'm sure the cost for it in 1999 is close to the same. The option code for it in 2000 is X76. It consist of front, side and rear fixed wing. If you want to be absolutely certain it was factory option you can look under the front hood on the option code badge its a white piece of paper that is about the size of a business card and it will list all the factory options your car came with in 3 digit codes (letter and number coded) then you can decode it here:

I also have the same kit
