P-DUB, very nice, man...very nice! :)

Thanks guys. I think I need a new camera, it seems to look way faster in person! :D
|
Congrats, soon we'll have enough white 987 owners to challenge the Klingons for inter-stellar domination.

Whoo - hoo, H&R springs on the way, and this baby is getting lowered Monday, maybe sooner. Nothing like taking a nice car that has 171 miles on it, slapping some new wheels, tires and springs on it! :D
|
Are you sure that replacing the springs on a PASM suspension car (particularly one that's leased) is a good idea? PASM cars are already lowered 10 mm relative to other 987s and the active damping system is programmed to work with OEM equipment. PASM failure and software glitches are not unheard of and at least one PASM equipped forum member has had a shock absorber replaced.
I have PASM on my car, so am familiar with the feel of sport setting. It's pretty finely tuned, and perhaps not something to mess around with. Not to mention that the Box is susceptible to bottoming-out in stock form, let alone lowered. |
sick looking man,
i love it when people put some diff wheels than everyone else, like the overplayed 5 spolk carrera wheels. love the dish |
Looks Great! Be sure to post more pics after it's lowered.
I really like the convertible top on the 987 much better that the one on the 986. The profile looks much, much better - like it has an extra rib to give it a more vertical rear window. Does anyone know if the 987 top could be retro-fitted to the 986? |
I love it! I think white Boxsters (986 & 987) rule!
Enjoy... ddb |
SD987,
The dealer i leased it from suggested the H&R springs, they are a new version requested by champion specifically to work with the PASM, and they are doing the work, so I am going for it! I also have clear side markers coming, when I get both of those on I will take some new pics and post them. I hope I can make it in and out of my driveway! :D |

Interesting info on the new PASM compatible springs. You'll have to be sure to let us know your impressions of them.
Have you been driving around the last while in constant "Sport" mode? I did at first, but then realized I'd be spending a fortune at the dentist getting my fillings replaced. |
The springs and clear side markers are in. I know, i know, you guys need pictures, but I can't take them until this weekend, and I will post them on Monday. The car looks HAWT! It is not slammed like my 986, but it looks great. I now have about a 3/4" gap above both the front and rear tire, and it looks even on both the front and rear. In the normal mode, I actually think it rides smoother. That may not be the right statement, it rides less bouncy? In sport mode I can't tell much difference, it either the same, or a little stiffer. It rides nice, looks better, and I will post pics as soon as I clean the car and take some!

nice wheel choice.
