Installed GT3 sideskirts
Finally purchased and installed the factory GT3/Aerokit II side skirts. Fit is perfect and install was a piece of cake.

How much did those run you? Where did you get them from? Did you do the install yourself? What did the install consist of?
|
Purchased the set from Suncoast Motorsports in FL for less than $700.00 including tax. A friend at a local body shop painted them for me at no charge. They install with nine clips the attach to a rib underneath the body floor pan. There is strip of double-sided tape at the top of the skirt to adhere it to the contour and seal it to the body.

no charge?!
Bodywork is expensive in these parts. The cheapest shop I found with a mid-level paint booth charged me $700. Yup labor was more than parts for such a simple to paint piece. Now I just dinged my hood storing my helmet. Time to visit the shop again. |
Yikes, $700.00 seems quite steep to paint a set of skirts. I would have thought around $300.00 for materials and labor would cover the cost. But yes, I'm quit happy my friend "hooked me up" on this one.

Your car looks great! I paid $450 for mine. Had them painted for $150. Easy to install, just like you said. By the way, is your car lowered or is it using any wheels spacers? Looks cool!

Thanks for the compliments. I lowered the car with H&R springs using the stock shocks (without any negative issues as of yet anyway). No wheel spacers but I'm running 19" wheels from RH. I am quite pleased with the way it rides and handles.
BTW, love the GT2 front cover on yours. I'ld like to change mine to the GT3 or GT2 as well. |
