Thumbs up Eclipse AVN5510 Custom Installation.

As seen in the pictures the climate control unit had to be relocated in order to fit the double din 7"wide TFT Display. The Navigational system is easy to use and has plenty of storage memory for your personal addresses. The installation was performed by Jon & Bruno form the Soundsource 609-239-1800

Very nice. I've got an AVIC D3 and I love it. I did the install myself.

How much is that unit?

Is it touch screen navigation?

Does that also play CDs or can the six disc cd changer in the trunk still work?

986 Floor Mats & Navigation System

The custom floor mats were purchased at: http://www.usspeedonline.com/page/U/PROD/LM-Boxster

For the NAV install & climate control relocation I just dropped the car off for the day. It plays CD, MP3, WMA, DVD's. The cost for everything was under $2000.00.

Climate control relocation is very easy. You only need to unplug the unit and move the wires to the lower location. The wires that Porsche uses is long enough that you can relocate it to any one of the lower cubby holes. As far as the plate cover, if you move it to the very bottom cubby, you can get the o.e. face plate from the dealer for about 10 bucks and it just pops in for o.e fit and finish.

Avic D3 Install

Just got my install recently done. Check it out! Tried to look for the trim piece to bring the climate control to the bottom slot but apparently they come along with the cup holders and wasn't sold as a stand alone piece. But bringing it down was pretty easier, in fact you can reuse the original trim piece if your willing to modify the lower housing a bit.
