Cleaned the Muffler

I was always bothered by the dull appearance of the muffler. I recently came across a product by Eagle One called Nevr-Dull wadding polish. This stuff polished the muffler on my '97 to a "like new" gloss. The muffler on the car is original.

@ dj,

What type of steel wool did you use? Could you link it so I know what type to buy? Do you just use a polishing action when cleaning with the steel wool?

its a 000 grade steel wool, used for polishing stainless steel.
i picked up a big bag at wallmart for 3 bux, it had 3 different grades, i used medium for scuffing up the wheels, and was left with this, so gave it a shot, wow what a difference, and i tought my tip was clean too.
its kinda like claybar, you think its clean untill you 'really clean it'

as for how to clean with it, it comes rolled up in these bundles, like little square looking blocks i would say, i dont know how to explain, so just whipe with it, its as straight forward as it sounds, and no joke it took me about no more than 15 seconds to clean the whole tip (and i have the large eisenmann tip)

Best stuff you can buy for the chrome exhaust tip or anything metal you want to restore to the original shine is this stuff called, "HEAVY METAL". Car show guys rave about it, and I use it too. You can only find it on the web or at a local big truck parts store. These guys use it on their 18-wheelers and all that chrome/alluminum stuff. There are two versions, heavy duty and fine grade. I use the fine grade stuff on chrome parts and the heavy duty stuff on the exhaust its self. They some times sell it at car show conventions. It's not cheap but works great. The guys on American Chopper also use this stuff on there bikes. Here is the web site.
