You can just buy aftermarket replacement tops with glass window for 986 on eBay.

The facelift roof requires replacing the entire roof assembly, not just the fabric top.

Personally, I rely on my ABS brakes to stop my car, not my tyre. Your tyres would have to be catastrophically bad for the car to keep sliding forward during a braking maneuver.

If you go back to the main screen of TP, it has an option to scan and then clear codes....

Have you had a look at a Apexi S-AFC Select? It's a cheapish voltage/amplitude/frequency/whatever modifier, I suppose. It has a wiring diagram for the Boxster in it.

I guess you guys in the states are used to cheaper prices for cars and car parts.

A base Boxster costs about $110,000AUD here down under, which is about $120,000USD...
