The change happened midway through MY 2005. 2004 have the single row replaceable single row bearing. Early 2005 as well, later 2005 need to open the engine.

My 03 S has exactly the same issue. It only happens on the left side and only if it is a hard driving rain. Iíve learned to live with it by only driving with the top down on sunny days.:)
