I did not get a pic of it, but the bearing did not have a seal on either side.

I am glad I did the IMS, but the car is leaking so much oil I can't drive it.

I went over to the shop yesterday and checked out the oil filter. It did not look nearly as bad as I thought. By the way the shop described it, I thought it was going to be caked in metallic bits.
