Mine is installed with a 60 amp power circuit...
Mine is installed with a 60 amp power circuit breaker straight from the battery and the relay coil is connected to the windshield wiper power which is local and ignition on.

Guys, the problem here is your cars are insured for actual cash value. This goes both ways when you car is damaged either by yourself or someone else. A 2002 boxster is worth about $10000 today....
