Not wanting to add more fuel for confusion, in my 2001, the manual states "depress the alarm button twice in fast repetition, the alarm will sound a single beep".

Oil / air seperators
There are two smaller ones in the sump (oil pan) and one larger one to the right rear as you look at the engine.
Whatever oil comes out of the engine, it seems to follow to the lowest point and...

Weird oil leak
3 months ago had the usual oil/air seperator smoke out. Replaced all three oil/air seperators. For about 2 weeks had a small oil leak, thought it was the RMS leak. Repair shop said let the oil that...

Random tube near battery
This is for venting of hydrogen gas produced by battery. Since battery is inside of a closed space, Germans thought venting to outside was a good idea.
