FWIW, I drove around last night with the top down...

FWIW, I drove around last night with the top down at about 9 PM. It was still about 103 deg. F. Even with the sun down it was like driving into a gigantic blow dryer.

I live in Phoenix. My Boxster's A/C is the only one out of four cars I own that works under the most extreme (e.g. 116+ deg. F) conditions. Cools down fast, stays cold, even when sitting in traffic....
