So if the battery dies, and it locks by local...

So if the battery dies, and it locks by local solenoid. Whats the use of running an emergency cable for when the battery dies. Seems the cable would be useless if it locks by local solenoid.

Mine has a lever beside the drivers seat. Does seem like any power is used when opening the fruck, or trunk. Does any one know if the lever works without power?
