Would a 986S tip transmission work in a 986 base?
My 2000 986 base tiptronic possibly has a major problem with the transmission which may require a full transmission rebuild. Someone near me has parted out a 2004 986S, and they are selling the full...

2000 Boxster 986 odd sounds from the engine.
Hi Boxster experts,
Recently, I've heard an off ticking sound, and another occasional tapping noise from the engine of my 2000 Porsche Boxster (2.7L tiptronic). I also tend to get some smoke on...

Last night, was pulling away from the curb in my 2000 Boxster (2.7L Tiptronic), and it didn't want to shift out of 2nd gear. I put it into manual mode, and then back into automatic to see if it had...

Thanks, the problem has occurred multiple times since the first instance, and every time it has been when the engine is warm. When the engine is at running temperature it seems to restart fine, and...

2000 Boxster 986 not starting intermittently
Two days ago, my Boxster had been driving fine, perfectly normal operation, and then when I got in it wouldn't start.
All the dash lights would come on, and the starter motor was going, but the...

Is my Boxster oveheating?
Hey Boxster experts,
I've just recently bought a Boxster a few weeks ago. Sometimes it seems to be running a little hot, even when not being driven particularly hard, or for very long. Is this a...

Hi Boxster experts,
I'm very keen to join the 986 club and get a Porsche Boxster, and have found one that looks pretty great. The car has done 80k miles, but the current owner has the full...
