Update

Better news than what I was preparing for. The engine itself appears to be in good shape and does not need replacing.
How it was described to me by service rep is the bolt holding the IMS in place...

I am at a little over a mile high here in UT, but have had it at sea level a few times, and just completed a road trip to Yosemite where Tioga Pass is at 10,000 feet and did not have any problems.
