I said 03 base in OP. I might suggest that you read a post through to the end before replying, and if you have nothing helpful to say, don’t bother.

Sadly, I have not. I tried replacing the battery in my fob, but as expected that did nothing. I even stopped by the local dealer, who said they hadn't encountered this problem before so didn't have...

Until yesterday everything was fine. While driving I hit the door lock button on the dash (which I almost never use) and since then my key fob won’t lock/unlock/open trunks, and when I use the key to...

the issue that I was really getting at isn't how to get it to open with the key/switch not doing their job, but rather how to actually fix it so they do. thus the actuator/latch replacement, which...

So I replaced both the latch and the actuator today. While the new actuator is clearly working, I can hear it, see the cable retract the piece it attaches to in the latch, when I close the lid it...

still wondering about that little cable

Thanks for that. so the actuator is the part that jams into the top of the latch and runs out towards the drivers side, and if i peel away more of the frunk liner i'll see it running to the corner...

I've been having troubles with the frunk on my (03 base) Boxster not opening for about a year now. I've been able to access it the few times I need it with the emergency cable, which I've relocated...

Headlight switch fail?

After 16 years I suppose anything can fail, but with the replacement part costing more than $150 i don't want to buy if that's not the problem. I recently replaced a bulb, and then had to pull the...

Sticking Frunk

03 Base. Frunk won't open. Well, sometimes, but not consistently. I can hear it trying if I use the key fob or the latch inside the car, but it doesn't actually release. Used a soft tool (bicycle...

Thanks!

Thanks. I found a mention of T55 on another board, so hopefully that's it. Apparently they switched from allen at some point, as the bolts they're selling these days are all Torx.

Ignoring the 'bickering' I'm struck by the fact that none have endorsed the Brembo pads/rotors, though they seem to be a viable option for calipers. I'll have a look at these and see where they come...

No worries. I for one understand that two identical parts can come off the same line one day, and one meet Porsche's specs/tolerances, and another not, and the former may appear in a Porsche-branded...
