Car is headed for a PPI. We'll see what they think. Besides IMS check can they tell how much suspension work is needed? Anything else to look out for?

I checked on the B4's. They are about $205 each from several parts distributors. That seems like a pretty good deal. Install was quoted at 8.5 hrs by independent servicer. Or was it 11.5 hrs?

Thanks for all of that info. Since I will not be tracking the car and I don't drive aggressively I probably don't need to do the whole thing. I'm looking for comfort and tightness coming through the...

When you say "everything" what are you speaking of? Struts, springs, control arms, bushings, etc? Pelican Parts shows a base suspension kit at $3,300 and that didn't include the struts.
I figure...

New Suspension Costs?
I'm looking at a 99 Boxster. The car has 100,000 miles on it. My test drive revealed what felt like a need for new shocks and maybe bushings(?) as there seemed to be some looseness when hitting...

Sorry,
I'm old and I didn't remember having posted this question. Thanks for taking the time to update me on this. Looks like my risks are pretty low as this car has so few miles.

Can I tell with the engine number whether IMS is problem?
I looked at a 99 Boxster this morning whose engine number was 65X15505 and manufactured on 4/16/99, according to the "Porsche Certificate of Authenticity". From what I have read the 99s switched from...

Dashboard Changes?
I used to own a 2003 Boxster S but sold it a few years ago. I'm back in the market and am interested in a 2003 or earlier non-S model. I looked at a 99 last week and was surprised to see that the...
