Extremely rough idle, extremely smooth during acceleration and at highway speed,( in southern Ca highway speed is average speed of 87-95 mph. Any ideas ???????

My 2000 Boxster 2.7 liter had no throttle response and throttle lag, installed new throttle body, throttle response fine, smooth stable idle, but now two months later it tends to go into high idle...

Removed, cleaned throttle body and mass air flow sensor,re installed, got good idle great throttle response, drove car approx
30 miles shut off engine,same thing all over again, no throttle rev...

It ran fairly well since I purchased it in may of 2015, but it did have a noticeable lag in the throttle
No info on previous owner. When I press throttle pedal tach only rises maybe 75 to 150 rpm...
