Have an 02 base with 17 inch chrome rims considering replacing with stock alloys websites show rims as oem are these ok they seem to be several hundred $ less than dealer costs

Looking at the posts reminded me of long ago days when I had my 356 a and we flashed now have my 2002 boxster still thrilled . Getting the ims done next week then on the road very exciting

Local porsche dealer won't touch an aftermarket retrofit they want to rebuild for $13000 ,I don't think so bit he did tell me to get the repair

So far no metal it seems but I found a porsche mechanic who works on amazing porsche he will do the retrofit next week cheap insurance for an excellent car

thank you all for your input. very helplful. I can move on from the shifting and focus on the IMS. car is fine, but will watch metal flakes and talk to mechanic about when to address the IMS issue....
