The carpet around the unit got saturated, but...

The carpet around the unit got saturated, but there was never standing water touching the unit itself, just a very wet, cold and humid atmosphere, therefore some condensation.

I have a '99 Boxster that got a little wet here in the floods of the Northwest. Security system went in to lockdown. Dealer says $3000 to fix it, but there's gotta be another way. Any ideas???? ...
