removing the giant stock muffler and just running...

removing the giant stock muffler and just running simple straight pipe to the dual 996 rear bumper...would that actually add any power? Since the stock muffler is a 65lbs giant box?

I went ahead and removed everything. I just cannot get that clamp off the clamp with the 2 bolts after cat....

Removing cat clamps?

Hello,
My entire exhaust is off, except for I have no idea how to remove those 2 clamps on the cats. Then it's off to remove the 2 rear muffler bolts :0


Any help on these last 2 items?

Hello! Looking for lowering springs ASAP. Maybe the h&r springs? Doesn't matter as long as there decent brand.

Also looking for 15mm-20mm wheel spacers.
I know somebody has some used ones on...

update, got it done! put 500 miles on the car...

update, got it done! put 500 miles on the car within 4 days. new oil makes it drive SO much better!

there was no metal in pan, or filter at all. 87k. Think this early model single row will hit...

alright, the 13 bolts are removed. The hard part is removing that oil pan! Gave up after 15 minutes. The car is hardly off the ground however.

I heard pry bar in a certain area?

I have a hardtop and never use the softtop regardless. Would it be a 200+lbs weight savings?

I cannot remove the outside grille cover at all. I removed the one screw, and the thing wont pop off. I heard to press the individual black grille pieces and push them out?

Have a mint 97.. however has 2 dents under the rocker from looks like a jack at one time.

The dents are not notocable due to being under the car.

Just picked up a 97'!

Just picked up a 97' boxster, red with the hardtop. Has 80k on it, runs great, mint condition.

however after being on here the IMS issue is scaring the crap out of me. Did I make a wrong purchase?...
