997 conversion

hi been using the boxster for the last few months, really a eye catcher lots of good comments, winters setting in and starting to think about doing more work to it, started looking for the v8 donour...

hi

no this is still running the standard 2.5 boxster engine at the moment, apart from the twin exhausts, come winter i be be fitting the 4,2 audi lump, if all goes ok,,

ive had it out on the road the last few days, quite surprised it flew through the mot even thou its been ripped to pieces in the last few months,,, really happy with the exhaust, and very surprised...

looking for some help,,, just wiring up 997 lights into my 1998 boxster,ive managed to wire side lights , re-wire the indicators, main beam,,, but left with no high beam, i now have 4 wires left each...

slowly getting there ,,, work and weather holding things up

still a few things to sort, front side lights and fogs, rear wheels need painting, roll bars etc.... weather and work slowing things down

thats right you cant add a 997 turbo bumper and ...

thats right you cant add a 997 turbo bumper and lights front onto a boxster wings and bonnett,,, as stated boxster wings had to be widened,,,and new light seatings had to be made,,,in progress...

I think Boxster has plenty of room for a compact V8 like the Audi motor. I like the 2.7 T as well - have seen it...

iam in the middle of doing this conversion,,,,,bought a 997 turbo front bumper, and i am using a 986 parts for conversion,, wings, lights, bonnett,none of the bits line up,,,bumper 2 inches wider...
