I'm pretty sure if you remove the oil Cap the idle changes. if you find that there is a massive vacuum when you put your on it then its probably a bad AOS.

I'm trying to measure my crankcase vacuum pressure to determine if my AOS needs replacing. Can i do that from the dip stick hole or does it have to be from the oil filler cap.
