On the bright side it seems that even including shipping most of the parts still went for about 1-2 cents on the dollar verse normal salvage prices. A door sold for $4.

Brake pad backing plate bent

My last 2 sets of Performance Friction 08 and 011 front pads have bent backing plates and very uneven wear. In one case almost full thickness near the inside edge and completely gone on the outside...

Good idea on the trans end to secure the cable. I also broke a cable last year. My mechanic said the same thing about the 987 cables breaking. He did not see this issue with the 986.

I did not put the console back in as it has been out for 6 months so I could paint it but then the weather got to cold.

How do I pre-load shift cables?
