The intake cam on the gear side is not keyed that I am aware of, but I'm thinking that maybe I need to pull it back out because I may not have the gear completely seated.

I retract that previous statement, all 3 p codes are the same, so your cam position sensor is out, or if the car runs like a dog, your cam(s) has (have) jumped timing somehow.

If you had the specific P code it would be a little easier, but he Porsche Fault Code 174 is for camshaft adjustment on the passenger side bank (1-3).
