Appreciate the help! Yeah, getting rid of my GHL exhaust. After 2 years, it is taxing on long drives ie) 3 hours +. So wanted something that sounds awesome, but no resonance. Thx again!

Thumbs up Bruce Lee, who are you calling an idiot?

not trying to make this a street racing thread. I was just merely stating what I thought might have been an interesting run to see how the 3.4L would fare against the Vette. I am sure I am not the...

the ricers or others wanting to challenge and race you. I too get this almost every time I take my Boxster out. And I drive on the backroads just out of the city to get away from traffic. But as...

Wink 3.4L Swap ECU..............

Rich, I got FVD USA to do mine. You can use your existing Boxster ECU if you have a 98 or 99 2.5L Boxster as the ECU is the same as that from a 996. Good luck with your swap!

Smile GHL Exhaust Video

Great video clip! I got a GHL as well on mine. Yes still resonance 2-3K RPM. Less with a 3.4L swap. One main reason is the redline is higher and you can hang around 3K RPM+ and avoid that spot...

Talking 911 vs. Boxster

I myself considered trading my Boxster in for a 911. My reason was I wanted more power. I love my Boxster, but was starting to get bored of the power of my 2.5L. I agree, to each is his/her own,...

Thumbs up Swap.............

Do your research, but I spent alot months mulling over SC or 3.4L on my 99 2.5L. In the end the 3.4L will cost more, but it is Naturally Aspirated and more reliable. This piece of mind is worth it....

Talking Got it back today..................

Mine is a 99 Pre-Egas Boxster. So like Pecivil said, it has to be a 99 Pre-Egas 996 3.4L Engine. As for impressions from my first drive? Words cannot describe it. I rolled out of my mechanics...

I went with the GHL on mine after checking out every exhaust avail. for the Boxster. The GHL fit the price range. I felt no loss in power, but a gain. The Fabspeed on the video didn't sounds so...

Wink Evo....................................

Steve,

To answer your question, no, you do not have to drop the engine. It is a tight spot but accessible if the car is jacked up. Better if it is hoisted. I do swear that this part took the...

Hey PerfectLap.....................................

My 18's are 225/40 front and 265/35 rear. Much better grip than the 17's I had. I think there are a number of posts on PPBB re: this issue with size. Not sure if 245's on the front will stick out...
