Just wanted to update, I have found the current distributor and removed it to find the fuse has indeed blown. This explains why my cooling fans aren't working. I will now progress to understanding...

I have a newly acquired 2004 Boxster 986. I noticed that the coolant has boiled over in the past and the fans never ticked in when AC turn on - so all roads point to cooling fans.
