I changed my own spark plugs on my MY99 at about 28k. If you jack the rear of the car up and remove both rear wheels it is fairly easy. I used Bocsh four electrode spark plugs

These are old posts but I also have this problem and was told by Porsche that this was normal wear. I feel it a design defect given the abrasions occur when the top is down and folded. Still trying...

It appears i have the same problem and it appears...

It appears i have the same problem and it appears in the right rear. The Porsceh dealer gave me the OK on the alienment but a local guy (non porsche said he could get it into alienement).
