SF Bay Area
Anyone from the San Francisco Bay Area?

Shehadehd 12-12-2013 06:21 AM

Yup. Drive in the San Jose area and live in the north bay... Benicia area

Dlirium 12-12-2013 08:48 AM

Yes, Almaden area. Doing the "silicon valley" thing...

We should do a meet-up! Coffee on a Saturday morning always works.

RaisedOnPorsches 12-12-2013 10:04 AM

I'm living/working up in Marin, though I frequent the East Bay and SF-peninsula.

Check out The Babblers if you're a Bay Area Boxster owner. It's been rather slow for a while, but the admins there are trying to breath some new life into the forum community.

We should arrange a meet soon.

where are the regular Get Togethers?

Dlirium 02-11-2014 05:59 AM

Welcome to the Bay Area, Blastoff!

So far, we haven't had a get together / drive. Seems that there isn't a strong contingency of 986 Forum folks in this area. That said, there are a few of us that would like to do it. Maybe a friday night or saturday morning mini "cars and coffee" thing? The last weekend in Feb is open for me...

Lived in San Bruno since 1976, worked for NAVFAC for about 25+, now retired but my 'hobby' is QC for military paving projects.
Just bought an '00 S model, and trying to find service in Yuma AZ.
Looking forward to getting back to Skyline Drive.

Was anyone at the parts heaven swap meet today. I passed by to pick up a couple things and saw this

amagalla 06-01-2014 07:32 PM

I was there in the morning. Looks like he got bumped up as people left. I don't know if that would be a useable daily driver.

Shehadehd 06-01-2014 07:53 PM

yeah, that RS basically has no suspension.

And most of those cars looked too pristine to have left their garages much
