PCA Rennsport Coffee Run - Ottawa - June 19, 2010

As the title states, the local PCA Group Rennsport will be organizing a coffee run in the Ottawa region on Saturday, June 19th.

I've e-mailed the event organizer and once he has more details I will post in this thread. It would be nice to meet up with some of the other Boxster owners in Ottawa that frequent this site.

Details on the event will also be posted here:
www.rennsport.ca/

Cheers,
Mike

Hey Mike,

I'm one of those Ottawa Boxster owners! I will try to make it out to the coffee run on the 19th, but tough to commit at this time. If I do make it out in June it will be in the Box. I hope to have the 911's cooling issues sorted out for the July run...

Where in Ottawa are you? I am in Stonebridge (Barrhaven/Manotick)

Hope to see you soon...

cheers,
Ayan

Hey Ayan,

I'm in the east end of town but my mechanic is in Manotick (Autobahn Tuning).

Hope you can make it out, these things usually kick off pretty early in the morning (7am).

If you know of anyone else pass along this thread.

Cheers,
Mike

I am in the West end, exactly at Prince of Wales at Hunt Club. Do take the Boxster to Todd in Manotick as well (Autobahn). Great people, very reasonable prices and he does not mind when I get the parts in the US for him to do the work.

In case anyone needs a new clutch I have one kit sitting around waiting for the time I need it but I told Todd if anyone else needs it he can take to fix someone else's Boxster.

I will probably stop by on the 19th (I am on PCA as well, not sure if the other Boxster owners around here are). Always nice to see a bunch of Porsches together.

Hi guys,

Here are the details I received from Steve Nichol - Organizer for the coffee run.

Most folks arrive at the IKEA Starbucks between 7:00 and 7:30. We should be on our way somewhere between 7:30 and 7:45.

We plan on heading west to Blacks Corners and then proceeding to Perth and north to Lanark. Then west to Elphin, to Maberly, to Bolingbroke and then on to Westport and back to Perth. Head south to Rideau Ferry then to Smiths Falls and north to Franktown and back to Ottawa.

Highly recommended!

Damn I could not make it! Wife flew to Brazil last night and I had so much to do at home. Hopefully we will get another one soon!
Any pics to share?

I went to the last Coffee Run on Saturday, April 30th and it was a blast. Brand new Porsche GT3 Showed up and a tricked out 944 Turbo (totally sleeper but the 993 Turbo Brakes and Calipers up front gave it away!)

Put about 300km's on the car before having to bail to pick up my wife, haha!

Would have loved to stay because they ended up doing a free drive through of the Calabogie Track.

Lot's of fun and really good driving! I'll start a new thread and post all of the remaining dates for Coffee Runs.

I also joined the PCA last week, whoot whoot!

Cheers,
Mike
