Boxster bike rack available - Free

I'm selling my 99 Boxster, and the buyer doesn't want the Birdautomotive bike rack I have - so I'm checking here to see if anyone's interested.
I live in Lexington MA. It's available for pickup, free. It works great - you can get 3 bikes on the rack no problem; and when not in use, you unlock then pull out the rack from the mounting stems under the car - all easily done.
You can see the latest variant at http://www.birdautomotive.com/Bike%20Rack%20Boxster.htm

I'm hoping that someone's interested so I don't have to trash it - seems environmentally bad to do so.

Thanks

DParker

Hi,
I am very interested. I might be able to have my sister in Boston pick it up for me. Also, do you know if the same rack can be used for skiis as well?
Thanks!

Just bike, not for skis

rick3000, it's only a bike rack. I believe BirdAutomotive also sells a ski rack, but they're two different things.
FYI the rack is assembled and thus a bit bulky. As long as your sister has some space in her car it won't be a problem.
Let me know if she's game and I'll reserve it for you.

If not taken, I'm interested. I'm in Lexington frequently. Let me know...

False alarm

Sorry to raise expectations, it turned out that I couldn't get the rack off the car successfully, so I sent the rack and the car to the buyer. Hopefully he'll get some use out of the rack...
Thanks for the interest, and sorry for the false alarm.
