accelerator pedal wiring

Hey guys and gals,

I am looking to see if anyone knows the pinout for the wiring which connects to the accelerator pedal. There are 6 wires running to 2 sensors inside the pedal, and each sensor has a 5V, a signal, and a ground. I found the wiring description with the colors, I just need to know the orientation of the wires in the harness (i.e. - looking at the clip side of the connector, what is the order of the wires top to bottom). I have tried finding pictures online but I haven't found any that show exposed wiring at the level of the connector.

Thanks!

I think page 22 of the 987 wiring in the link I gave you is what you are looking for.

type E-gas into the search.
Look at the E-gas accelerator pedal service thread.
He has some pretty good pictures in that thread
May be of help.

Thanks for the PM, I wrote you back.

I read that thread. It's definitely a good one and the pics (while confusing at first) are spot on.

I need to know the pedal side wiring pinout on a 987 though, not the 986. I have a throttle modulator for a 987 and they have different connectors (but same wiring scheme). So my plan is to splice it in on the dme side.

The problem is that I don't know the wiring orientation to know which wires on the car side match up to the wires on the modulator side. I think I can figure it out but I'd rather not "blind squirrel" this one of I can help it lol.

That's actually the reason I posted it in the " cayman discussion" section but I now realize that I didn't clarify that in the original post. That's my bad.

Look at the colors of the wire also, they should match what is in the diagram you sent me and page 22 of the 987 wiring I sent you (same document).
