06 cayman front clip fit on 2000 boxster

can the fenders, bumper and hood of a 06 cayman fit on a 2000 year boxster? Will they bolt onto the frame rails etc.?

My guess would be no because the widths would be different, eliminating the hood and bumper right off the bat. Compare 986 & 987 widths to give you an idea. You might want to look for 987 conversion kits for 986s, as that would probably be a cheaper way to go. There were several conversion kits out there when the 987s were first introduced. Not sure if they're still in business but they'd be happy to sell you a kit. However, it will probably be a fiberglass bumper cover.

Back in the day, lots of Boxster owners paid to have their fronts converted to the 996 TT front. It wasn't just a bolt on conversion, but required less surgery than trying to fit 987 parts and eliminated the scrambled eggs headlights.

With enough money, nothing is impossible. Someone with mad fabrication skills could modify your front fenders using parts of the Cayman fenders and inner hardware to accept Cayman headlights and graft/blend the Cayman and Boxster bumper covers. You'd be looking for a real high end custom shop. I have no idea what that would cost but it would be more than a lot. You have to ask yourself, is the juice worth the squeeze?

cayman fenders etc.

I was wondering if I took the fenders off the cayman, would they bolt onto my boxster frame rails? Same with cayman hood, I know it would bolt onto the hinges etc, but will it close with the same position as the regular boxster hood? Something I am considering, but not sure if its worth the hassle to change out the front facade to 06 specs.

It sounds like husker boxster is saying no. My guess is we would have seen some conversions by now if a straight bolt-on conversion was possible. There are some vendors on eBay selling kits made of fiberglass or FRP to convert a 986 front end to 987 style fenders, hood and bumper and then you purchase the 987 headlights separately.
