Cayman Engine Specs

Really keen to pick up a 2014 Cayman. Is the Base 2.7 engine is related to the years earlier 911 2.7 displacement? Other feedback on Cayman packages, performance, pricing?

Hello and welcome to the forum! If I'm understanding your question correctly, the 2.7 from the earlier 911s is not the motor that is in the 981. The Cayman is identical to the Boxster, only difference being that it's a hardtop. They're a killer track car and very nimble to drive. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Question

Did Porsche make changes to eliminate the IMS bearing problem in the 08 Cayman's?

Thanks, was interested in a 08 S manual on Auto Trader. One owner 30k and with all records. Just my color Silver with Black interior. Garage kept, car like new. Just got a text. Car sold! You don't see cars like this often.
