Dead Battery/Hopod Release - Help

I have a 97 Boxster that I store for the winter ( I live in Canada). When I went to take it out of storage the battery was stone dead and the hood release was locked electronically. With the battery dead I can't get the hood to unlock and the battery is of course under the hood.

Any ideas/thoughts on how to get the hood release to unlock or get the hood open or get to the battery?

Any help woutld be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Try to charge through the lighter. If that does not work let me know as there are other ways to get into the front trunk.

Robbo; there is an emergency release cable that is supposed to be accesible behind the rt front wheel, but many of them are under the rt headlight (where the assembly worked left it). I found it best to remove the headlight, retireve the cable and thread it thru the tow hook in the front, then it is easily accesible if you need it.
