Total of Parts: ≈$6056
Do not take this list as gospel. It is, however, a great foundation as to what youll be getting into if
interested in this conversion.
All prices are estimates and do not include labor or paint. I do not know how to calculate the exact
cost of labor (or paint for that matter), for it will depend on the speed, skill, and efficiency of yourself
or your shop. But my estimate (considering I had other items tended to on the car) would be in the
$750-$1250 for both labor and paint. That puts the total in the $7k range.
Grand Total: ≈$7000 ±$250
If you have any questions about this conversion please feel free to ask. I'll do my best to answer
them.
Please note: I did not perform this work myself, rather it was done by German Technology, Inc
of Euless, TX.

Thanks for posting that, Jeph.

Interesting that half of the total cost of the parts were just the lights

They can be had on eBay for around $400-700 a set because they only fit on one application, the 02'+ 996. I assume they were so much because he bought them from a dealership new.

Show me that auction because I will buy those for backup. I saw a pair of halogens in a similar style for about $1k. Maybe that's what you saw. I was charged $1445 each, and that's an excellent price in all my research. Dealers want to charge $1900 each. Suncoast was impressive at $1600 a pop.

Hey Jeph,
Foxy is still one of the most tastefully modded Boxsters to ever grace these pages. Bravo!

Thanks Topless -I agree! I wish the new owner would have become a participant on this forum so I could know how the car is doing from time to time. Instead I have to go the route of a weirdo and email the guy "how's the car?"
(PS, he stopped responding and rejected my Facebook friend request.)

That's a ridiculous price to pay (half the value of the car) for something that looks nearly identical to the original. The stock litronics looks great on the 986. If I were spending that kind of money on a headlight conversion, I would go with this
one. http://www.kryzak.com/storage/986-987-986probs.jpg

Well, to be fair, it wasn't half the value of the car when the work was done over 7.5 years ago.
