Front lift (aero)
Tracked my 99 last week (for the first time) and found the front feeling light over 100mph. I’m sure it’s normal but has anyone taken any steps to reduce it or do you just live with it since it isn’t a dedicated track car. Otherwise, I’m not seeing good options for splitters without going deep into a GT3-style bumper.

How is your suspension? (Shocks, bushings, swa bars, etc.) Are they recently refreshed? What size tires are you running? Could be a hundred things, but I would start with the basics. I think aero is probably the least any 986 owner's concerns.

Suspension is in good shape, but the shocks at 76,000 miles are suspect. They are not going to make it lift, though.
I believe that venting project is a good idea. I don't understand why that radiator air is vented DOWN. Otherwise we would all have GT3-style smileys on our noses! |
When I got my Boxster, I changed out the shocks and it made a HUGE difference in terms of "front" lift. It's not so much the mileage but the age of the suspension that makes an impact to the driving experience.
