Remove struts without complete disassembly?

I'm planning on installing a set of coilovers on my -99 base Boxster. Last summer I replaced all the wheel bearings and it was an absolute pain to disassemble everything. Is there some way I can replace the suspension without needing to disconnect the rear drive shafts?

The new coilovers are complete with new top mounts, so I was hoping it would be a matter of only removing the brakes (obviously), the nuts from the top mounts and the drop links (I have a set of new ones), and kind of fold the spring and shock absorber out under the wheel arch.

I'm not against disconnecting the track rods or control arms. It's just the drive shafts and hub nuts I don't want to mess with.
