Smoke Test result's
Ok..I did a smoke test on my 2002 boxster, the inlet I used was the AOS Y line ( small one ),after the throttle body, the only smoke I seen was coming out of my Driver side air intake,..Why would this happen,..Thank's Frank

Oh..Ok,.I thought it could not pass thru the throttle body,So if that is the only area that I see smoke,Is my entire engine vacuum leak free, Or are there other system's to ck...? this is where I connected the hose,... Thank's tcoradeschi, Frank

I’d say that your intake tract appears to be vacuum leak free. Is there a specific problem you are trying to solve, here?

I keep getting the 1128,1130 codes..and the engine light comes on after about a Hr of driving, so trying to figure out why,..and vacuum leak's seemed to be the common issue,..I do have a new MAF,..but wanted to ck everything Iam suppose to B4 I install it,..I will ck under the car today...if no smoke then , I will install the MAF. Thank's Frank

If you have 2.7 or 3.2 engine (I did not see that info here), then very common vacuum leak is the furthermost intake crosspipe's vacuum flap axle-connection to the intake crosspipe. That axle has rubber seals and those leak pretty much for sure after 20 years.
Some reason those often do not emit smoke on the smoke test when air (smoke in this case) is tried to push out from the intake. When the air is going in to the intake runner on normal engine operation vacuum, the leak is very much evident - at least on my car and couple of my friends M96 based on engine running much better (my car) and my friends car stopped showing those same CEL codes.

Well my latest smoke test down the dip stick tube,..I had smoke coming out of 2 spark plug's 1 really heavy, the 2nd didn't seem like much..1 coil pack missing a bolt the other one was bolted in tight,..so obviously I have loose plug's..? right, or is it that the coil's are not tight enough ? or probably both ? ( passenger side ) Thank's Frank
