Navigation system installation...

I found this and it sounds like a good deal. I'm just wondering how hard it is to install this. I have to get rid of a lot of stuff to fit this in there. What is the use of the cd-rom?

Wow, $1,600 (or less) for the nav system! That is a great deal! I'd definitely get it if I was planning to keep my car.

Technical details, I'm in the dark about. The CD-ROM is for the data disc; I think there are about 5 of them for regions in North America. Also, I think you may need to learn about the GPS antenna. On my wife's MINI it is a "shark fin" about 3 inches tall, installed on the rear of the roof. I wonder if Porsche has been able to integrate the antenna somehow inside this unit...you'll need to find out.

In Skyler's site under the Skyler's Boxster link you will find the PCM instructions. You will have to download as a word document .doc file.
