Navigation system installation...
I found this and it sounds like a good deal. I'm just wondering how hard it is to install this. I have to get rid of a lot of stuff to fit this in there. What is the use of the cd-rom?
|
Wow, $1,600 (or less) for the nav system! That is a great deal! I'd definitely get it if I was planning to keep my car.
Technical details, I'm in the dark about. The CD-ROM is for the data disc; I think there are about 5 of them for regions in North America. Also, I think you may need to learn about the GPS antenna. On my wife's MINI it is a "shark fin" about 3 inches tall, installed on the rear of the roof. I wonder if Porsche has been able to integrate the antenna somehow inside this unit...you'll need to find out. |

In Skyler's site under the Skyler's Boxster link you will find the PCM instructions. You will have to download as a word document .doc file.
