Smoking amp
 

About to buy a replacement amp on my 99 Boxster. All bolts are out from frame.

Harness is giving me a tough time. I know better to not use force. I can’t see any tabs to release the two harness plugs.

Any help would be appreciated

If it is like the 4x40w in my 2001 S, then the big harness (for speaker outputs) is a slide lock and the smaller one (power in and line in) has a latch that has to be released and flipped backward. Look up “help me diy” amp replacement for 986 on YouTube.
