Trying to understand fuel trim... HELP
1 Attachment(s)
The power is not what it should be in my 2000 base 5-speed so I have been trying to diagnose the problem with my Durametric by looking at the fuel trim data.
From what I have read and seen the numbers that I have on the attached document look good. The variocams kicked in when I blipped the throttle up to 3000 RPM. Am I reading this wrong? I cleaned the MAF just before taking these readings and the camshaft deviations are steady but on the limit at -6.92 and -5.81. |
your deviations seem typical - i ran there for a long time. your engine codes at 9 iirc.
your fra (load) numbers look excellent - can read anywhere between 0.7 and 1.32 before you code so .99 is about as good as it gets. your rkat (idle) numbers appear ok as well - they are a % (as opposed to fra which is a discrete value) so .61% trim is good. (you can swing between +/-4 before code).. however, was battery disconnected recently? it takes a while for long-term trims to reestablish themselves. |
