Muffler Shop for install of headers and exhaust CHICAGO?
 

Shopping around for an exhaust and header install some peroformance shops around my area are charging $400 to $600 just for the exhaust and headers :eek: :confused: wondering if anyone from around the Chicagoland area would recommend a GOOD, REPUTABLE muffler shop that has worked with Porsche's before.

$350-400 is not a bad price for the muffler install and headers. It is a couple hours for the muffler, and 1-1.5 hours on the headers depending on how rusted the bolts are on the 3 bolt flange. If the top one snaps, then the nut that is welded on to the flange needs to be cut off so you can use a standard nut and bolt. Nothing hard, but it does take up some time.

600 is getting to be a bit much.

All the work I have had done on my car has been either at a dealer or in my own garage. None of which were for high performance goodies. Sorry I can't help you out...
