Help determining valve Tappet health

I am reassembling my 3.2 and have a question.

In this video: https://youtu.be/dnX6H1NdXwY

You can see that the C1 E2 tappet is very easy to push in. All of the others I am not able to move like this at all. I switched it (temporarily) with the C1 E1 tappet and it still moved the same way, the tappet that did not move in C1 E1 also did not move in C1 E2.

Does this mean:
1. This tappet is bad.
2. This tappet is good and the rest are shot.
3. Nothing, stop asking stupid questions and get back to work so you can drive the car.

As always, thank you!

tappet = lifter

If it were me, I would just replace them all. Not very expensive and cheaper to do now then once you get it in the car.

remember to cook them first..

submerged in motor oil on a furnace. and pushing down the plunger to remove any air pockets :-)

Were the lifters noisy before the disassembly? If the engine was noiseless they should be OK. If you want to be sure you can by a new set as suggested but I wouldn`t say they are cheap, at least for me. When I rebuilt my engine I didn`t know what it sounded like before because it was not running when I bought the car, so I just took apart each lifter, cleaned the valves and reassembled them and now they are running fine. But I`m cheap :)

Thank you for the replies..
There was a noise before disassembly that I believe to be chain noise. (this link : https://photos.app.goo.gl/nESH5um2LB7S11LN6) You can hear it around 30 secs in when the variocam system activates.

I did find worn variocam guides which are now replaced but they had not failed. I am also replacing all 3 tensioners (and the cam chains on both banks).

I decided to order a new lifter just in case yesterday.. should arrive today.. personally 24 of them even at the oem price ~25$ a piece is a bit more then i want to spend for no good reason.

@Homeoboxster
Are they easy to dissemble? do you just pop out the round "button" (sorry can't think of a better word)

Yes, if you want to spend time on this, check out my build thread, I have some pictures of how they look inside and some notes about the procedure. Work on one bank at a time and you will need 12 jars or similar so you can keep track of which lifter was where. Look at some youtube videos, most European cars use the same kind of INA lifters, there`s a bunch of videos out there showing how to take them apart.
