Temperature sensor torque value
Sorry if this has been covered here sompelace... I could not find it here nor general search on the wonderful web.
I'm about to change the water temperature sensor on my 2001 Boxster and would like to tighten it with proper torque - would you know what is the propert torque for that temp sensor? Thankx already in advance for any help  |
If you're talking about the sensor at the front of the engine that's accessed by removing the panel behind the seat, I put my replacement in at snug and it's been fine - no leaks. That was 9 yrs ago.
Have the replacement ready as you'll get a gusher when you remove the old one. Work quickly and you won't lose too much antifreeze. |

Did change the two front of the engine large diameter coolant hoses at the same time (looked to be at the end of the lifespan, probably original), so coolant flush was also done at the same time  |
