So wtf did I do? I disconnected my battery and...

and my mileage went from 40900 to 27k.... now what the hell is up with that?

Cool, you just doubled the re-sale value of your car!!

runninma1 11-09-2006 07:50 AM

I wish that were true but it specifically says MI.... and there is nothing in the manual that says i can change it to km...

Im lost?

bmussatti 11-09-2006 07:50 AM

Maybe your car was showing kilometers before, and is now showing miles??

KronixSpeed 11-09-2006 07:52 AM

I was gonna say, km now to miles. but not possible that this entire time you were driving with the digital speedo in km. when the reading is in km, the speed reading is in km.

runninma1 11-09-2006 07:55 AM

that doesnt make sense either.. when doing the conversion from km to miles its 1.5k short of being correct.

bmussatti 11-09-2006 08:02 AM

Here's what you do! Trade your car in for more than you paid for it, because it now has far-far less miles on it! Then, take the proceeds from your sale and get a newer car or upgarde to the "S" (if not an "S" now). Win-win!!

You can change the digital display to read either MPH or KPH;

To change:
You have two dials to the left and right of your tach.

1. Turn right dial counterclockwise and hold for 5 sec's

Travis, do you have a quick fix for changing the time from AM/PM to 24hours, rather than going to the dealership?

On the newer models 2004 and above i think you can do it via the OBC, but have not figured it out on a 2000 yet.

sorry.
