80 Watt H7's

I have seen some 80 watt H7's from a respeceted manufacturer. They are advertised as 'for off road use only' !!!!
Aside from the legality issues for street use, would there be a technical problem in fitting these to a Boxster with standard, non HID lamps? Would they overlaod the wiring or cause excessive heat buildup inside the headlamp pods?

Hey

I went with aftermarket clear white bulbs. I'm not sure of the watts....but i'm sure that they werent very high watts....my headlights are slowly turning yellow / burnt. I would stay away from anyting other then the original bulb, or atleast stay with the same watts as the original.

I agree with KronixSpeed

The popular "Silver-stars" run around 70 watts and there have been many posts on how they have yellowed the headlights and in some cases burnt the housing.

So I would be inclined to think that adding 10 more watts to the problem would not be such a good idea
