Regrets about chosen options?

Hi there,

I am new to this forum but I'd like to know if there anybody regrets any options they chose or might have on their car?

The only option I regret occasionally is the built-in mobile in the PCM which seems to interfer with my sound-system.
What happens is that, despite the stereo being switched, I at times hear zilch, which I blame the telephone module for. In those cases I need to stop , switch off the car and switch it back on again for the whole thing to work.
I also remember reading that the PCM does have a couple of probs, which Porsche never managed to sort out completely.
I went for it because I thought that the new generation (2003 model) would have been better in this respect.

Apart form that, I adore my Boxster S and would now not buy anything else.

:)

Why don't you get it back in under warranty, and get it repaired

Did that but, as the fault is extremely erratic and only occurs once every 2-3 weeks, they couldn't find anything wrong with it. They did check that the PCM had the latest software though (which it did!)

In a way I am not too fussed as the best sound is still the engine at 5500 rpm!

:D

One thing I kinda miss is cruise control. It's nice to have on longish trips. I don't use the car as a DD though, so my trips are usually for fun and on shorter side.

There is a cruise control retrofit for the e-gas cars.

CD holder option is useless, but at least I spent very little for it... an open storage bin would have been more useful and could have held even more CDs in a "wallet" case. Other than that I'm very happy with the options selected - including PSM.

I don't think it is really possible to regret options, only to spend too much money on them.

The two that stand out to me:
-Heated seats, these are awesome and only cost me $400
-PSM, I sure wish I had gotten it :\

...and I have had it again this morning! I switched on my PCM and heard....nothing! I switched of the ignition and started the car again...still nothing!
I decided to check the software version of the PCM and have version 2.0. My question now: is this the latest one and contains these kind of bugs?

Any ideas?
