Were Continental tires the OEM tire for the Boxster back in 2000?

..... the guy I bought my car from gave me 2 front tires that still have around 50% tread.. He said he thought they were the originals when they came off at 19,000 miles. They say Made in Gemany ..... maybe all Continentals are :confused:
