PCM Radio Microswitch

Good Morning new to Porsche boxster ownership. Working way through faults on my first ever proche. Having removed the horseshoe to replace the cup holder the alarm keeps beeping. From other threads i believe its the micro switch. does anyone have a photo of its location?

thanks

It's under the driver's seat. It's next to the sticker that tells you if your IMS has been replaced.

i believe its a microswitch on the radio. which keeps the alarm central locking circuit in an open circuit. therefore it wont arm as it knows the circuits open. the only change that was made was removing the radio and reinserting. therefore that miscroswitch may be problem.

What im asking the forum if anyone can direct me to its location before removing the radio again.

Starter....... play nice now. Newbies don’t know you like we do.

pauldimms, tell us a bit more about yourself and the car, with pics if you have them. Members here love good introductions and pictures. And try to humour Starter, he is a sucker for attention.

There is a spring loaded strip with a connector on the left side of the radio. If I recall correctly The left side trim panel harness carries the connecter and if you remove the horseshoe it comes off. You could've knocked it off and not put it back. I'm not sure this will result in your problem but it's worth a shot
You can see the strip on the left side of radio compartment. There is a connector that goes to it.
