Anyone have a 2.5L Wiring Diagram?

I'm trying to track one down to help with an Audi 4.2L swap.

Wow, that would great! I bought a 2004 A8 motor, it’ll be here Friday. The wiring is really worrying me, the fuel pump, and electric pedal look straight forward but I can’t find any information for the ignition signal. Still digging.

I think '04 was a transition year for the A8. Does it have the belt or chain timing?

Thanks, I was fortunate enough to find that already. Oddly it also doesn’t mention anything about ignition (Starting the car). I bought a timing belt car. What motor did you put in yours?

I have started and stopped the swap a few times and never completed it. I have an AUX engine from an '03 A8 that is currently sitting in a 2000 S, partly wired and no plumbing done. I have a 32 valve ABZ engine from a '98 A8 on my garage floor with the harness removed and partly mated to an '01 Tiptronic base. Both projects became less urgent than other projects and were set aside.

Now I'm thinking the AUX will go in the '01 Tiptronic and the ABZ should go in a 914 ...for next years project list.

Do you know if there is one of these for a 2.7TT ? I have two friends and myself that are going with the 2.7TT. The wiring is what is keeping me from moving forward with the swap. I already have the engine, cayman 6 speed and modified axles

Hey Woody, the Bentley manual for the A6 covers the 2.7tt 2000-2004. Let me know if there is anything in particular you need and i can shoot it to you.

Are you trying to use the Porsche ECU with the Audi engine? When I did my 4.2 build the ignition wiring was pretty straight forward, but I used the Audi ECU. If you keep the Audi ECU & engine together, there is no additional wiring needed for injectors.

I’m using both ECUs. The Audi ecu to run the engine and fuel pump and the Boxster unit for the chassis. That’s the plan at least...

Ok - you are talking about the starter wiring! Very easy. The main power line that hooks in to the alternator and runs from the front of the car coonnects to the large starter terminal. You need to run a wire from pin 1 of connector x59 (large white connector in the trunk) to the starter small terminal.
